Andy Staines a.k.a Yellow Swordfish

Andy started Simple:Press Forum at the end of 2006 when the search for a decent and usable forum plugin for WordPress proved a disappointment. Originally not intended to be released as a public plugin, the idea was to keep it 'simple' - hence the name.

Other people saw it, asked where it came from and requested a copy so version 1 was released. And then, of course, users started to ask for new features and it just snowballed!

Andy is retired and currently lives in Cambridgeshire, England where it is flat, cold and wet and not at all to his liking.

Steve Klasen a.k.a Mr Papa

Steve was the second person to register on the Simple:Press support forum as he was an early adopter of the plugin and has used it on many sites. He very kindly started to help out with support questions - especially those that Andy was unable to answer and very quickly agreed to become a moderator - a feature he originally asked for.

Towards the end of 2007 Steve started to contribute code to the project as well as new ideas and complimentary expertise. He is now a fully-fledged co-author and partner.

Steve lives miles from anywhere in Arizona, USA where it is not cold and wet - something Andy is most jealous of.

Paul Coates a.k.a Radio

Paul started to use Simple:Press Forum on some of his sites early on but, being a WordPress MU user, began the process of lobbying us to put in MU support. He remains the only team member who truly understands MU and is our 'specialist' on the subject.

Paul is a smart guy and is, by training, a high energy particle physicist with a thing for magnets. Sadly, a heart attack and fitted pacemaker now makes working with magnets a little tricky. His latest project - Planet Green Central - is deserving of all our support.

Paul lives in Florida where it also tends to be hot and once again this makes Andy jealous.

James Luff a.k.a Luffer

James is a late comer to the Simple:Press Forum project having been using the plugin since 2009. James started to help in 2010 and can normally be found editing wiki pages and helping to answer questions on the forum. He's a bit like the tea boy who occasionally does some filing.

James has a degree in Software Engineering, but isn't as smart as Paul the particle physicist. He hasn't done any programming for the last 10 years! Instead James is a stage manager and is more likely to be seen up a ladder focusing a lighting rig than coding arrays. One day he might be brave enough to look at the source code though.

James lives near Eastbourne, which is known as the sunshine coast. Sorry Andy, you can keep the cold and wet weather!
